We are just weeks away from the halls of the Henry B. González Convention Center filling up with music, reunions, and that unmistakable smell of welcome BBQ by the river! Yes, the Texas Bandmasters Association (TBA) Annual Convention is right around the corner—July 16–18, 2026—and the Lung Trainers team already has our bags packed for San Antonio.

We know exactly what this time of year means for a Texas band director. It’s the ultimate window to recharge your batteries, get inspired by fresh pedagogical perspectives, and let’s be honest, figure out how to survive summer band camp without losing your voice (or your mind).
If you are currently mapping out your San Antonio schedule, here is a quick run-through to help you squeeze every drop of value out of your trip, along with a couple of budget-saving reminders.
Set Your Alarms: Deadlines Too Important to Miss
- Early Bird Registration: Make sure to take advantage of the special early bird registration pricing available through June 15. Don’t miss out on the discount!
- Lock In Your Room: Be sure to book your hotel room soon to secure those discounted rates before the official TBA housing blocks fill up.
- Empower your leadership: Saturday, July 18, features the highly anticipated TBA Student Summit. If you’re bringing your student leaders, this bootcamp (powered by experts from BOA, SASI, and UDB) will leave them inspired and completely equipped to run rehearsals from day one.
Less Fatigue, Bigger Sound: Catch Us at Booths 626 – 628!
Watching world-class ensembles at TBA always brings us back to a core truth: a marching band’s performance isn’t just about how clean the drill looks, it’s about physical conditioning. On a blistering Texas practice field, holding down a long phrase or projecting past the front sideline while moving at high tempos requires serious lung capacity.
That’s where we come in. This year, you can find the Lung Trainers team at Booths 626 – 628 inside the exhibit hall!
Come by to test the visual biofeedback system of our standard Incentive Breathing Accessories (IBA) lineup, customized perfectly for every section of your band:
- IBA – S+: Engineered for percussion, voice, oboe, and bassoon.
- W: The perfect match for woodwinds (sax and clarinet).
- IBA – B: Designed for brass players (except tuba).
- T: Specifically built to meet the high-volume airflow demands of tuba players.
Introducing LT Freshen! In addition to our respiratory trainers, we are thrilled to showcase LT Freshen, our premier mouthpiece cleaner. Keep your ensemble’s gear hygienic, fresh, and ready for those long hours of summer camp rehearsals.

Can’t wait until the convention? You can also check out our gear locally through our LT Premier Freshen Texas Retailers: Ft Bend Music Center in Stafford and Melhart Music Center in McAllen!
With just 2 to 3 minutes of high-impact training a day, your students will visually master their airflow—giving you more time to clean drill and a much bigger sound in the press box.
San Antonio is ready for us, and we are ready to help your program turn heads this fall. Ready, Set, Breathe! See you at Booths 626 – 628!
